Across the global esports lounge circuit, player retention is not just about high refresh rate monitors. It is about hospitality. Yet the biggest friction point for gamers is breaking their flow state. Nobody wants to minimize a sweaty competitive match to scroll through a cafe digital menu, figure out what they want, and place an order.

We built XYON to streamline operations, but with our newest update, we are turning our focus to the player experience.

Introducing GS GamerSense, a contextual engine integrated directly into the player portal.

The Friction of the Mid Game Snack

Currently, cafe food and beverage sales rely on players proactively deciding to order. This usually happens too late when they are already fatigued or logging off. For venue owners, food and drink is a massive revenue driver, but pushing static ads for snacks while a player is clutching a 1v4 in Valorant is intrusive and ruins the experience.

We needed a system that understands not just what a player wants to consume, but the exact millisecond they are actually free to order it.

How the GS Engine Works

GS operates on two powerful layers: historical tracking and live visual context.

First, over a rolling 5 to 7 day span, the system silently maps out an individual player venue habits. It tracks their session timings, spending patterns, and frequent orders.

Second, and most importantly, it understands their live game state. GS securely captures a live screenshot of the active monitor and passes it through Google Gemini to determine exactly what is happening on screen:

  • Active Match: Is the player in the middle of a heavy firefight? Notifications remain paused.
  • Matchmaking Queue: Are they sitting in a 3 minute lobby waiting for a match? This is the prime suggestion window.
  • AFK Status: Has the character been idle in a safe zone for five minutes?

By analyzing this visual footprint alongside their 7 day history, GS builds a unique, highly accurate profile for every gamer.

Contextual Menu Suggestions

Instead of a static menu, GS interfaces directly with the cafe live POS inventory. When the system detects that a player is in a matchmaking queue or staring at a post match leaderboard, the XYON player portal pushes a seamless, non intrusive food suggestion to their screen.

If GS knows a player usually orders a Red Bull and a chicken sandwich on Friday nights, and sees they are currently in a lobby queue, it prepares that exact order based on the cafe real time stock. One click, and the order is instantly routed to the cafe desk and deducted from their wallet balance.

Powered by Google Vision Tech

To make this work flawlessly, GS leverages Google Gemini advanced vision capabilities.

Gemini processes the secure screen captures to parse complex HUD elements, queue timers, and game states without requiring native API integrations with every single game publisher. It cross references this visual data with the venue active menu JSON to generate highly personalized, dynamic prompts.

It is not just a smart menu. It is an intelligent UI shift that feels like the cafe knows exactly what the player needs, precisely when they have the downtime to ask for it.

By bridging live visual context with POS inventory, GS drives higher food conversions for venue owners while giving gamers a VIP experience.
